Galerie Carpentier is proud to exhibit for the first time in Berlin a selection of Uwe Langmann’s recent works.
Under the title “Silent Light”, Uwe Langmann presents a selection of minimalistic and austere images which have a magical and almost surreal effect upon the viewer. His carefully composed landscapes invite the viewer to indulge into a deep conversation, provoking personal thoughts, feelings and associations. They transform our daily reality into traces of light, human structures in the fog and snow as well as silent gestures of man and nature. Contrary to the sensory overload of our time, they convey a sense of tranquility and a contemplative mood.
Uwe Langmann, born in 1985, started his career behind the camera as a director of short and documentary films in 2007. Since 2010 he has dedicated himself solely to photography and has been awarded many international awards for his work.
His photography enchants the realm of reality, allowing us to see and feel things we would not be aware of without a camera.“
