Solo Exhibition
»Sydonia Duczek«
Sydonia Duczek (1960 – 2017) trained as a photographer in the 1980s with the Lette-Verein and later at the Photocentrum am Wassertor. In her work, she focused on plant structures, landscapes and details of landscapes. She created subtle and poetic photographs inspired by poems and haikus. Her sensitive portraits tell stories about others but also about herself. In her final years, she also used the medium of photography to try and make sense of her struggle with cancer.
The “Blaue Ampel“, a group of photographers, is organising this exhibition both in memory of and – hopefully – in the spirit of their deceased friend and colleague.
