Zwoplus is the second group exhibition of the class of Thomas Michalak, showing work of the last two years. This year, two guests whose work we like are joining us. In the entrance area to the exhibition, we are showing pictures by the late Edith Lechtape (1921 – 2001).

Axel Gehrke is a flaneur who has an attentive eye for particular situations in the rapidly changing city of Berlin. Jan Großer’s pictures are querying gender specific attributions of body language. Katja Hammerle turns here eye to the fragility of the seemingly obvious. Anna Homburg explores the potential of finding rest in the virtual naturescapes of computer games. The video installation by Jürgen Hurst is concerned with the internal construction of reality. Rainer Menke is showing new portraits, objects and collages. Konstanze Müller-Kitti examines the colour RED. With contributions from her audience she grows her RED-archive. Besides working on larger circumscribed projects, Birgit Nitzsch has been taking daily pictures for years, which are condensed into “diaries” in a lengthy selection process. The books are being supplemented by single images on the wall.

Our guests are Dagmar Kolatschny (Berlin) and Sarah Pedde (Wien).
We pay special homage to Edith Lechtape who passed away in 2001 in Alsace.
