Update #1, March 2020: Due to Covid-19, this exhibition has been postponed. The NEW DATES are as follows: Opening Reception: Sunday, Apr 26, 2020, 12 noon | Exhibition: Apr 26 — June 7, 2020.
This exhibition shows contemporary photography and video works dealing with the subject of “being at home”.
Göran Gnaudschun, Andy Heller, Oliver Krebs, Minna Rainio & Mark Roberts and Juliane Zelwies each investigate the appropriation of places – an issue of particular relevance in times of fundamental change. The loss of habitat, structural re-adjustment, and mass immigration do not make it easy for those seeking a new home. Home is not a given, we have to create it. It is an active process, through which we must liberate ourselves from our origins – be they geographic or cultural – to find our home once more.
